Welcome to Volume 8, Number 1 of The Reading Matrix: An International Online Journal and our brand new look! This issue offers a variety of articles that are both research-based and theoretical, as well as articles and book reviews which are more pedagogical in content.
We are very grateful to our fine Editorial Board and would especially like to thank all the authors who contributed to this issue and reviewers of The Reading Matrix whose expertise and hard work have contributed to the success of this issue. Readers will note that most articles are in PDF format. We sincerely hope that readers will find this compilation of articles and reviews to be of interest and relevance to the issues they face in their professional lives as researchers, teachers, teacher trainers, program administrators, or curriculum developers.
