Media and Book Review Writers

The Reading Matrix welcomes book reviews and review essays of scholarly works and textbooks dealing with reading, English teaching, applied linguistics, language acquisition, language assessment, applied socio- and psycholinguistics, and technology and literacy.

Reviewers may choose their own books to review or may request books. Please refer to our Available Materials list to see what you may be interested in. If you are interested in writing a review, please contact either one of the above editors. Please include a short resume that demonstrates your qualifications to conduct the review. You may also fill out the Become a Reviewer form indicating your areas of interest.

After receiving a package for review, we ask that a draft of the review be submitted no more than four-five weeks later. Please refer to text specifications outlined in the Submission Guidelines. Reviewers may also submit their reviews online using our online submission form. Reviewers may keep their copies of the books and software. We are sorry that no other compensation can be provided.

In all cases, reviews will be considered for publication on the basis of the quality of the evaluation and description of the book/software, and the relevance and importance of the book/software to the field.
