The presenter and the participants connect to the online session (presentation room) at the same time. All sessions are for one hour which means presenter will be available for a one hour period to interact with participants. Participants can access the registration site a week before the conference dates. This means the participants have already paid. Once registration is complete, the participant will have a username and password to access the Conference Area. All participants can hear the presentation. Their speakers must be on. The presenter and participants can interact using the chat function in each presentation room. The entire presentation and chat discussion is logged for review at a later date. In order to access the presentations, participants will enter the Conference Area, login, and then proceed to the Conference Timetable to select the presentation they are interested in. Live discussions are scheduled according to GMT. Participants connect to a live virtual presentation room. Within the virtual presentation room, particpants will view the PowerPoint presentation, read the article if available, and chat with the presenter and other participants. The participant's screen will display all presenation materials. Participants must ensure they have downloaded Explorer, Macromedia Flash, and Java. Speakers must also be turned on. Consult the Technical Requirements section before the conference starts. The presenter and participants can interact using the chat function in each presentation room. The Exit button will allow participants to leave the room and access the Conference Timetable to move to another presentation room. Presenters and participants may also choose to leave messages at the Message Board area or may choose to meet at the Foyer Cafe for continued discussions. The entire presentation and chat discussion is logged for review at a later date.
