Requirements for Delegates
Operating
System – Please ensure you are using a PC (not Mac) and you have Microsoft Windows®
98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium
Edition, Windows XP Home Edition, or Windows
XP Professional.
In order to access the presentations, you will
need to use a Java-enabled browser (e.g. Internet
Explorer 5 or higher),
and you will need to set the security settings
for your browser to allow Java applets to run.
In Internet Explorer, these security settings
can be found in Tools - Internet Options - Advanced
or Tools - Internet Options - Security. We recommend Internet
Explorer – Version 5 or higher available from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp
Please note that all of the necessary software required for participation in this conference is available for free.
You will need to download Internet Explorer to have complete access to the conference. Netscape will not allow you to communicate with other
participants or presenters.
You can download and install the Sun Java by clicking the image below and following the instructions.
You will also need Adobe Acrobat Reader to be
able to download the papers. Acrobat Reader is
available free of charge from
In order to participate in the live discussion in each presentation room,
you will need to download Macromedia Flash Player. Click on the image
below. Follow the instructions
for download and installation.
We highly recommend viewing the Demonstration
Presentation . If you can view and hear the components,
then you have all the necessary software. You're
all set!
Finally, you will need to download Real Player which will allow you to hear the audio portion of the PowerPoint presentations.
